Over the Christmas holiday, among other books, I read local author Charlie Winger’s ‘Two Shadows – The Inspirational Story of One Man’s Triumph Over Adversity.’ Charlie’s a storyteller, for sure. He grew up in a tough atmosphere, did some prison time, but turned his life around and had a successful career in information technology. Much of Winger’s book is devoted to climbing. He was in the news a year ago when he suffered a debilitating fall at the Ouray Ice Park. Charlie, 73, indomitable as ever, has resumed climbing.
