A Guide for All Seasons
by Dave Cooper
The Colorado mountains offer some of the finest snow and alpine ice climbing in the US; from winter ridge routes, to couloir and gully climbs in the spring and summer, to alpine ice routes that form each autumn.
The routes are organized by season and go from relatively easy routes requiring little more than ice ax skills to relatively difficult technical routes involving sections of serious ice and mixed climbing.
Author Dave Cooper has spent the last 30 years exploring the Colorado mountains and has climbed extensively in many of the world’s great ranges.
